Well I'd just like to say that it is now two whole years since Bradley and the Dinosaur first hit the shelves of bookshops and Amazon marketplaces.
What a fantastic journey it's been so far. I've learned so much, not just about writing, but the whole book process.
I've had a book launch, done readings and signings.. I've even been to Summer Fairs and sold the book at Christmas Markets. I've donated copies to coffee shops and to veggie restaurants. I even had a mug made - and business cards and flyers and posters.
There was even a t-shirt made for promotional work a while back - and that has recently been won in the first ever competition.
A facebook page was created at least 18 months ago - and up to now there are some 130 followers there. I am grateful for everyone one of them. Every like, every positive review.
Every time someone buys the book for a niece or nephew, or grandchild - and tells me that they really enjoyed the book - well that is worth everything to me.
When you don't have a publisher or agent behind you, you have to work doubly hard to get your book seen or read. There are no expensive ad campaigns - but there has been an article in a local newspaper.
So thank you again to everyone who has bought the book, or kindle version - who has liked my work and taken the time to write a review. Who'd have thought that a boy could have such a great adventure and be back in time for tea?
There's still plenty more to do as well - only a couple of weeks ago the new Kindle version was released (see picture below) - and more merchandise will follow later this year.
...and Bradley's about to have another adventure very soon...
Dino wishes,
Julian
