Gosh it's all go at the moment, so I think I'll squeeze in a second blog post this week.
Shortly after my very enjoyable time talking with Rob Pudner (of Entertainingly Different) on his radio show Artz4U, I've had confirmation that I'll be appearing on the David Fitzgerald Show on Radio Devon, next Thursday the 17th October. (Probably somewhere between 1130 and 12pm).
This is great news, personally because I was a real fan of Television South West (TSW back in the day) and I remember tuning in specifically to watch a certain rabbit help out with birthday cards being read out for children. This is 30 years ago we're talking about!
However, I remember the show with joy as if it were yesterday and there was a real charm about the show and the newsreaders such as David and Judi Spiers who were drafted on to help out. They all had a particular rapport with Gus Honeybun, the rabbit and it was a real giggle to watch. Beyond that of course, David is a serious newscaster and has spent many years not only working with TSW, but also Sky News and the BBC.
So I'm very much looking forward to meeting him and talking about the books, and about self-publishing. Maybe he won't mind me mentioning 'that rabbit'. I just hope I don't get tongue-tied!
Well, listen in, it will be live so I will be very excited. If nothing else, I'm really looking forward to meeting 'Fitz', and also the producer Jo Irving.
I'll have to make sure I get there in plenty of time - for my last appearance with Rob, I got stuck in roadworks outside Dartington just 20 minutes before the show was due to start! That was not comfortable I assure you, but Rob is such a professional, he made me feel right at home straight away, in spite of me being late!
So tune in if you can.
Bradley tops the charts!
I think there are well over 3000 books and downloads out there now... finally hit double figures for reviews in the US. So please keep telling your friends and family if you've enjoyed the book - and if you've bought or downloaded a copy but haven't left a review yet, they are so much appreciated. Thanks!
